Nuvolt Corporation Inc. (TSX NCO) chose public financing for the research and development project associated with SmartScan. The company believes that it will need major funding for its international development.
For the duration of the development of SmartScan, Nuvolt kept investors informed of the progress made and the costs incurred by way of press releases. Following the launch of SmartScan in early 2010, the company intends to put greater emphasis on its investor relations.
Nuvolt announced the conclusion of private financing for an approximate amount of $1,595,000 last year at a rate of 15 cents per share while the share price stood at less than 10 cents, in order to complete the development of the SmartScan final product. It is clear that a round of additional financing will be necessary in early 2010. We will specify the details of this additional financing in January 2010.
Nuvolt expects to progress beyond its emerging company status in 2010. Marketing efforts have been in place for more than a year.
