Over the last three years, Nuvolt has devoted a great deal of energy and invested large sums of money in the development of the Nuvolt Sensor, an analytical tool. This research and development project is motivated by the desire to convert our technological know-how into plug and play products.

The Nuvolt Sensor has enabled us to make this technological transfer. What is more, when integrated into a management software, this device brings major technical innovation to the electrical market. SmartScan Pro is an electrical network monitoring system than can predict an electrical failure and thereby prevent downtime on industrial production lines, fire risks and equipment failures in commercial buildings. It can also be used as a preventive maintenance management tool in commercial vessels.

For the commercial building sector the use of SmartScan Pro to predict electrical failures as well as to prevent fire risks and equipment failures will open the door to distribution agreements with international OEM. SmartScan Pro has generated a great deal of interest as a means of preventing fires and reducing equipment failures. SmartScan Pro could be integrated to already in place surveillance systems, to further support interest and to accelerate market penetration, Nuvolt is awaiting the endorsement of its technology by major reinsurers. This endorsement should follow the validation of the final product.

For the industrial sector:

For the industrial sector, SmartScan Pro is mainly intended as a preventive maintenance management tool. Indeed, this device’s features enable it to predict an electrical failure (motors, wires) and, in so doing, to reduce production downtime and equipment failures. SmarstScan is also of interest due to its wireless installation and the fact that the analysis of the electrical network takes place directly at the circuit breakers. This concept reduces installation costs significantly. The technology used in the development of SmartScan Pro gives the device a major price advantage, promoting the development of a mass market product. SmartScan Pro adapts to all electrical set-ups.
